Victor Joseph Garber was born on March 16th, 1949, in London, Ontario, Canada.

Victor Garber's interest for acting was shown from an early age. He began acting at age of 9 with a local children theater group and left home at the age of 15 to join the University of Toronto's Hart House acting group.

The Sugar ShoppeIn 1967 his career took a new path as he formed a folk band called "The Sugar Shoppe", with Laurie Hood, Lee Harris and Peter Mann. The band's success led them to appear on important television shows in Canada and the U.S., notably "The Ed Sullivan Show", "The Johnny Carson Show" and the highly-rated CBC variety show "The Hart and Lorne Terrific Hour".
After the Sugar Shoppe disbanded, he formed a new band, "The Shoppe", but didn't match the same success.

His interest for acting was never abandoned and, in 1972, Victor Garber as Jesus on the film Godspell Victor Garber landed the lead part for the Toronto production of "Godspell". His impressive performance led to his being cast in the film version of the play.
Victor then returned to the stage and became an accomplished, notable and respected theater actor.
His numerous stage credits include, among others, "Arcadia", "The Devil's Disciple", "Noises Off", "Assassins", "Sweeney Todd", "Deathtrap", "Damn Yankees", "Lend Me a Tenor", "Little Me", "A Little Night Music", "Of Thee I Sing" and, most recently, "Follies" and "Present Laughter".

As a side light to his stage career, Victor Garber has built an impressive list of film and television credits. He has appeared on screen in "Sleepless in Seattle", "The First Wives Club", "Legally Blonde", "Home Room", "Titanic" and "Milk".
On television, his credits include, among others, the ABC musical versions of "Annie" and "The Music Man", "Criminal Instincts", "External Affairs", "First Circle", "Dieppe", "Life With Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows", "The Last Templar", "Everything She Ever Wanted" and guest starring roles on "ENG", "Law & Order", "The Outer Limits", "Frasier", "It's All Relative", "Will & Grace", "Regenesis", "Ugly Betty", "Nurse Jackie" and "Glee".

Victor Garber as Jack Bristow on Alias Season 1Victor Garber is most well known for his role as "Jack Bristow" on ABC's show "Alias", a role that earned him, since 2002, three consecutive Emmy nominations for Outsanding Suporting Actor in a Drama Series.
After "Alias" final season, he landed the role of Ron Trott in the short lived Fox legal drama "Justice" and starred as "Jordan Wetherby" in the ABC show "Eli Stone".

In his credits are also included guest starring roles on interesting online projects such as "WebTherapy" and "Rex".

Victor will return to Broadway in January 2010 to reprise the role of "Garry Essendine" in the Roundabout Theatre's production of "Present Laughter".

Victor Garber is an amazing actor capable of performing any character brilliantly. His versatility and talent have earned him several awards and nominations as well as respect and recognition for his stage and screen work.
